ABOUT THE LECTURE

Join Jungian influenced astrologer Martin Comtois as we explore the astrology of our current times and crises through the lens of Jung’s archetypal psychology.

To fully grasp the profound meaning of our crisis, we must first consider the prolonged Uranus Pluto square that began in 2008 and that came to completion in the course of 2020. We will look at the history of that cycle and the archetypal symbolism of these two planets as they set the tone for the second and third decade of the new millennium.

From that starting point, we will then study the Saturn Pluto conjunction at the very beginning of 2020 and the three Jupiter Pluto conjunctions that followed. These planetary alignments mirrored the tensions that we experienced personally and collectively throughout the year.

2021 began with the Maxima Conjunction of Jupiter Saturn moving into a square with Uranus that was followed by two other squares of Saturn and Uranus as the year unfolded.

2022 begins with Venus and Mercury retrograde all making conjunctions to Pluto in Capricorn followed by Mars as Winter ends. However, a Jupiter Neptune conjunction brings a welcome relief of energy as the two co-rulers of Pisces come together to set a creative, visionary, and inspirational beginning to Spring 2022. The year ends with the last of the Saturn Uranus square active for most of Fall and a potent Uranus Pluto trine that will set the tone for the rest of the decade. But what does all this mean for you and for our collective?

Through expert explanations of the synchronicity of these astrological events and the unfolding of the current crisis, Martin helps us understand the profound meaning of the times we are living through and helps us develop a strategy to make the best of these difficult times. A mood of universal destruction and renewal has set its mark on our age. This mood makes itself felt everywhere: politically, socially, emotionally, and philosophically. We are living in what the Greeks called the kairos - the right moment - for a “metamorphosis of the gods,” of the fundamental principles and symbols. This peculiarity of our time, which certainly is not of our conscious choosing, is the expression of the unconscious man within us who is changing. Coming generations will have to take account of this momentous transformation if humanity is not to destroy itself through the might of its own technology and science. So much is at stake and so much depends on the psychological constitution of the modern man. This lecture explores the nuances of potentials and brings us deeper insights into how to navigate through.
